filtered cardboard canvasses
there is no proven medium
tangible enough to
pry the smoke from our lips
stifled lines of black and white
crackling with exhaustion filled moments
grasped in 35 mm high grain film
the contrast is the key
the distance between
light/ line/ shadow
protesting and proclaiming starkly
that is what we are/were
at any given 15th of a second
