babbling by the book
lost prophets took
silence still revolving
around wrists locked
securely to me

we sit

in the last conservative row
of the congregation
praying under our breaths
god bless sedatives that
make smiles stretch

three plus three equals
sensibility resides in
tri-fold brochures
on how to
make love, on war
to free all
